Pejorative

How can a word for "corner" be pejorative? Was slang meant? Uncle G 18:31, 7 May 2005 (UTC)

I've been wondering the same thing myself. Could it be referring to a more obscure meaning of the word, like a corner on the market? --Gwern 23:57, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

I've removed the "pejorative" comment. I don't see how it makes sense. Another quote:
