  1. (transitive, slang) To make fun of; ridicule severely or insultingly.
    Synonym: slag off
    She wouldn't follow instructions so they roasted her up coming off the plane.
  2. (transitive) To cook by roasting.
    For Thanksgiving, I'll roast up a turkey.
  3. (transitive) To roast fully or completely.
