Etymology

Learned borrowing from Ancient Greek διακοσμῶ (diakosmô), contracted form of διακοσμέω (diakosméō, put in order) and semantic loan from French décorer.[1] By surface analysis, δια- (dia-) +‎ κοσμώ (kosmó, adorn).
