Borrowed from Classical Persian ترک (turk), ultimately from Old Turkic 𐱅𐰇𐰼𐰜 (t²ür²k̥ /⁠türük⁠/). First attested as Old Gujarati तुरक (turaka). Doublet of તુરુષ્ક (turuṣk).
