- negative of కావాలి (kāvāli, “to be needed”): is (are) not necessary; no need
- సుమకు టీ అక్కర్లేదు.
- sumaku ṭī akkarlēdu.
- Suma does not need tea.
Usage notes[edit]
- Defective verb that does not inflect for tense, person, or aspect.
- ఒద్దు (oddu) tends to negate కావాలి (kāvāli) in the "want" sense.
- అక్కర్లేదు (akkarlēdu) tends to negates కావాలి (kāvāli) in the "need" sense.
