From นัด (nát, to appoint, to arrange (for); appointment, arrangement) +‎ ยิ้ม (yím, smile; to smile); literally "to make an appointment for a smile" or "to make arrangements for a smile"; the final syllable, ยิ้ม (yím), also being a slang for เย็ด (yét, to fuck).
