Order of declensions

[edit]

I realise I have been ordering declensions as I wuz learnt in skool: nom/acc, gen, dat, voc (as does the Caighdeán). However, I see that the Wiki order is nom, voc, gen, dat (my Latin teacher would be proud). I guess I should order as per Wiki (and Latin), for consistency..?

I've reordered to the NVGD convention.

Lenition - include in tables?

[edit]

Should initial mutations (lenition only, fir adjectives) be included in the declension tables.

For nouns, initial Mutation depends on context - bare, article, pronoun, preposition. Wiki declension templates have separate bare, article and general lenition tables.

The Mutation of adjectives is much more closely tied to the gender of the qualified noun. Wiki templates generate a single table, including lenition. The teanglann.ie Grammar Wizard does so, also.
