After Jamestown, Colorado, where the virus was first isolated in 1961 from Culiseta mosquitoes.

Jamestown Canyon virus (plural Jamestown Canyon viruses)

  1. A North American orthobunyavirus, an arbovirus, that mostly in adults can cause fever, meningitis or meningoencephalitis.
