Indonesian[edit]

Etymology[edit]

Short for Konohagakure (from Japanese 木ノ葉隠れ (Hidden Leaf Village)), a fictional village in the Naruto franchise. Few similarities have been noted between Indonesia and the village, including the leaders and influential groups.[1] This pejorative, however, is usually used by Indonesians themselves, although some Malaysians also use it.
