      By notices posted up on account of the general bad luck at Macao, with the approbation of the R. C. magistrate Yung, who gave one hundred dollars to assist, a meeting was called in the temple of Matsoo in order “to consult on the business, settle the method of proceeding, and immediately to open a general subscription” for the building [of] a PAGODA.
