(Can this(+) etymology be sourced?) Borrowed from Late Latin Ostrogothus, from Proto-Germanic *austrą ("east") and *gutô, via Ancient Greek Γότθος (Gótthos) from Gothic *𐌲𐌿𐍄𐌰 (*guta).
