What do the editors think about these ideas for this root:

  • Reconstructing it with a *h₂ (based on Latin imperfect suffixes and Celtic preterites, as well as a variant of the Greek aorist)
  • Putting two different entries as "alternative forms" with the possible full grades for this root (i.e. *bʰewH- and *bʰweH-), and each page would have its respective descendants (Germanic *beuną from *bʰewH-, but Italic -β(w)ām from *bʰweH-, for example)
