- 2010, Merle W. McMorrow, A Long Short Life, page 217: Her descendants originated from Eastern Germany and the Ukraine. Her paternal grandfather, Frank Jonietz, was born October 8, 1855, near the Oder River in Upper Silicia in the village of Szczedrzyk.
