From Old Russian топере, теперечи. Related to OCS топрьво, Ukrainian тепер, Czech teprve (only then), Polish dopiero (only, yet) (the Polish d- is probably from the prefix do-). Related to тот and первый. Not familiar with Lithuanian dabar. —Stephen (Talk) 20:19, 6 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
