"くだんの" would be not a quasi-adjective, but a combination of the noun くだん and the particle の. Think of the conjugation "くだんな", and it wouldn't be so natural as 寛大な or 巨大な is. This is a common pitfall of quasi-adjectives, and you can always check it with the conjugation ending with "な". --Tohru 15:22, 26 December 2005 (UTC)

I wasn't sure to include it or not but the meaning of くだんの seemed slightly different or more specific than one might think with simply くだん and の. Maybe instead of putting that usage in an Adjective section, we could put it as an example sentence under the noun header. Millie 17:13, 26 December 2005 (UTC)

Yeah, the feeling of the difference is right. You know, くだん is almost always followed by の and seldom or never used independently, therefore くだん would be percepted less natural than くだんの.
