I'm wondering why this article isn't called Aborigine. AFAIK the singular form exists in English and has all the meanings mentioned here (not exclusively the indigenous people of Australia). Any reason for it to be plural? D.D. 08:59 Feb 21, 2003 (UTC)

Karen originally put it in the plural, and I was about to change it myself, until I looked more deeply in the matter. The word is a linguistic anomaly. See also my note at the article for the "singular" form. Eclecticology 11:57 Feb 22, 2003 (UTC)
