"Affair" is being used consistently by different media outlets to describe the David Letterman scandal, even though by all indications he was not married when he had sex with employees. I've checked other dictionaries and they do not stipulate that the affair must be adulterous in order to be called such. 63.104.174.146 13:07, 5 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

That seems to be what other dictionaries say. I really don't know what the definition here should be, I was simply trying to leave a helpful note in case someone who did care about wiktionary would want to consider whether the listed definition was accurate. 63.104.174.146 14:43, 5 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
