Well the Ana part of the word is obviously from the word to renew; or again, repeat etc. In Greek ; Anatolia, renewing the dawn or the rising sun, Anatolia being in the east. The word Anna is said to come from an old Gods name in Gaelic (Irish) Danna or Danarn. — This unsigned comment was added by 2.99.11.131 (talk).

Orthographic projection[edit]

In the first line of the Wikipedia article Orthographic projection it says that it was formerly called an analemma. Maybe more research could be put into this if it's true, and an entry should be added like (if I'm using the right words):

2. (obsolete) An orthographic projection.

or

2. (historic) An orthographic projection.
