Missing (Archaic) Verb Definition?[edit]

If you do a Google Search for the phrase "renounce, frustrate", you will find dozens of old last wills and testaments from 17th and 18th century America that use some variation of the phrase:

I do revoke, renounce, frustrate, and make void all wills by me formerly made […]".

This seems to be a different usage than "to hinder, thwart", or any of the other definitions given, meaning something more like "to cancel".

Does anyone else have any more information or input on this?
