Possible early literary citations[edit]
Looking for early books cites, Google books seems to have hits for these:
- Zombie, Joyce Carol Oates (1995? 1996)
- The Ruby in the Smoke, Philip Pullman (1985 (p. 43, p. 72)? 1987? 1988? 1994? 1996? 1999)
…though I can’t look at the actual books, so no cites for now; leaving here for reference, in case someone can look into them someday.
