Senapan came from dutch word snaphaan??

[edit]

Hello, my native language is Bahasa.and i think this is interesting Recently I read article about a type of early firearm mechanism, it's called snaphaance, and I read that "snaphance" is came from dutch word snaphaan I think the word of "senapan" (gun in Bahasa) is derivative from dutch And... I found this https://id.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/Wiktionary:ProyekWiki_bahasa_Indonesia/Daftar_kata/Serapan/Belanda

It is from dutch derivative word, but it is not mentioned from what word

In malay, gun is called terakol or istinggar and also senapang Sometime in Bahasa, gun also called "bedil" but I think it's informal as I Know many news, literature etc use word senapan. Pindad use word Senapan serbu in their product. Senapan also to called rifle shotgun any type of long barrel firearm.

In I am sorry for my bad english. Raditya 1108 (talk) 09:27, 18 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
