Let's examine:

From Ancient Greek τέρας (téras, “monster”). Also from Ancient Greek τέτταρες (téttares, “four”), by analogy with tetra- for being the fourth order of 103.

The statement that it's from tetra- is only something that was pretended when peta- and exa- were coined by extrapolating it. Is this right?? Georgia guy (talk) 18:23, 1 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
