Talk:weiter

This word is far more important in german than just the comparative form of "weit." It acts as a sort of qualifier that shows continuation or tells someone to continue--Ie Gehen Sie weiter means "keep going" (as in "don't stop") or ich esse weiter "I keep on eating," or "I'm continuing to eat." This is really the most important aspect of he word, I'd incorporate it into the article myself, but I don't know how to find a source for something like that--143.236.168.14 22:46, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

weit means wide and also far, therefore I would translate the meaning you describe as "further" as in "Keep going (further)" for "Gehen sie weiter". Mutante 08:50, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
