- There's definitely usage to justify a Middle English entry: the Middle English Dictionary has 37 quotes with 5 senses in a number of spellings. Oddly enough, that particular quote is given under bresten (c), but not for this. Also, the spelling for the quote varies between manuscript and printed versions. I haven't done Middle English entries, and there are choices to be made as to which is the main entry and which are the alternative forms, so I'll leave it at that.
