Replacement of "<tt>" with "<code>"[edit]

Hi, @Erutuon, is there some other markup we can use instead of <code>? That creates a shaded background which seems strange in a citation. Or perhaps we should just stop indicating the newsgroup name in a different font and remove the <code> markup altogether? — SMUconlaw (talk) 10:24, 6 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

"Usenet" in italics[edit]

@Sgconlaw: Why is “Usenet” in italics? J3133 (talk) 06:08, 23 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Because the template uses the standard “Module:quote” backend as all the other quotation templates. This is something I have no technological capacity to change as I don’t know how to use Lua. Probably best to raise it as a general issue for discussion at the Beer Parlour before asking for any change. — Sgconlaw (talk) 11:28, 23 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
