arrestable + offence. First defined and introduced in English law by the Criminal Law Act 1967 (c. 58).

arrestable offence (plural arrestable offences)
- (criminal law, Ireland, Hong Kong, Singapore, historical in UK) a criminal offence such that the offender may be arrested without warrant.
Usage notes[edit]
The term became historical in the United Kingdom after section 110 of the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 commenced in 2006.
