- In El Salvador, it is used as a regular countable noun meaning 'pair of panties', perfectly normally in the singular: Me compré un calzón nuevo 'I bought a new pair of panties (for myself)', Se te olvidó empacar esos tres calzones 'You forgot to pack those three pairs of panties'.
