  1. (intransitive) to be displeasing or disliked
    Les pubs déplaisent à ma sœur. My sister doesn't like adverts.
  2. (takes a reflexive pronoun) to be ill at ease

Conjugation[edit]

plaire and its derived verbs conjugate like taire, except that the third person singular of the present indicative may take a circumflex on the 'i'.
