Norwegian Nynorsk[edit]
Etymology[edit]
Also attested as "dennika fænnike drexa bomsa bukke so tirra" by Fylling in Sunnmøre (also quoted by A.Chr. Bang). This variation is considered as a distorted Latin Credo. In this case, the dennika fænnike-part means "Deum patrem et Filium unicum".
Related to Russian эники беники (eniki beniki).
