Poco a poco se hizo evidente que no se trataba de un prejuicio de reacción antimasculina, o una alusión ofensiva hembrista.
Little by little it became clear that this wasn't a bias from an anti-male reaction, or an offensive misandric allusion.

Noun

[edit]

hembrista m or f by sense (plural hembristas)

  1. misandrist; femaleist, female chauvinist (someone who hates or is prejudiced against men)
    Synonyms: (formal) misándrico, (offensive) feminazi

Usage notes

[edit]
  • hembrista is usually employed to describe females that subscribed to an ideology of misandry (female superiority), in a not offensive manner, unlike its synonym feminazi. This term is not a synonym of feminism. Some people who consider themselves feminists also use it to express their disagreement with certain female chauvinist ideas or behaviours which some people have, and are usually claimed to be part of feminism.
