From Old High German *gisund, northern variant of gisunt, from Proto-Germanic *gasundaz.
Pronunciation[edit]

jesond (masculine jesonne or jesonde, feminine and plural jesonn or jesond or jesonde, comparative jesonner or jesonder or jesönner or jesönder, superlative et jesondste or jesöndste)
Usage notes[edit]
- The inflected forms with -nn- are used in southern Ripuarian where jesond is the inherited form. The forms with -nd- are used in most of those (more northern) dialects where inherited jesonk has been replaced with jesond.
