Etymology

From kap (I grab, catch, grip) +‎ -th (diminutive suffix); the former from Proto-Albanian *kapa, from Proto-Indo-European *keh₂p-. Cognate with Lithuanian kāpas (grave), kopà (dune), Latvian kãpa (dune).[1]
