Lithuanian[edit]

Etymology[edit]

From Proto-Indo-European *leyg- (similar, like). Cognate with Latvian līdzs (flat), līdzīgs (similar), Old Prussian polīgu (similarly). Further related to Proto-Germanic *galīkaz.[1]
