Inherited from Vulgar Latin *mana, from Latin manus f. Compare Aromanian mãnã, Megleno-Romanian mǫnă, Istro-Romanian măre, Italian and Neapolitan mana. The rest of Romance retains the original Latin form (cf. Italian mano).
