    mapag- + ‎mahal (love) → ‎mapagmahal (loving)

  2. used to form adjectives denoting having the habit of trying to be (before adjectives formed by ma-)
    mapag- + ‎magaling (excellent) → ‎mapagmagaling (showing off as being excellent; vainglorious)
    mapag- + ‎mataas (high) → ‎mapagmataas (showing off as being high; arrogant)
