Etymology[edit]
From Latin nec (“nor, not”) + -as and Rwanda-Rundi pitibiribas (“does not work”), hence "no, it does not work".
The Kinyarwanda, also known as Ikinyarwanda or Urunyarwanda, is an African dialect of the Rwanda-Rundi language of the Bantu family, spoken in Rwanda. As a national language, it is spoken all over the country by the entire population of Rwanda. Some of the language was brought to Brazil by enslaved peoples and this expression was coined by the mixing of Latin and Kinyarwanda.
