Tooro[edit]
Etymology[edit]
Two possibilities: from oru- (class 11 noun prefix) + -susu (“tree bark; skin of a fruit/vegetable; pod of a bean; cast-off skin of a snake”) or inherited from Proto-Bantu *-cʊcʊ (“skin”), in which case it would be a doublet of ekisusu.
Pronunciation[edit]
Noun[edit]
orususu class 11 (plural ensusu class 10, augmentless rususu, plural augmentless nsusu)
