Etymology[edit]

Inherited from Old Czech pyj, related to puchnout, pýcha, pysk.

Pronunciation[edit]

  • IPA(key): [ˈpɪj]
  • Hyphenation: pyj

Noun[edit]

pyj m inan

  1. penis
    Synonyms: see Thesaurus:pyj

Usage notes[edit]

  • Unlike pochva, which is used as commonly as vagína, this word is rare and may not be understood today. Normally, only penis is used or the Czech equivalent can alternatively be mužský úd. But there are many colloquial or vulgar terms for both penis and vagina.
