  1. (transitive) to batter, to beat, to thrash, to dust
    ту́пам че́рга/одея́ло
    túpam čérga/odejálo
    to dust a rug/blanket
  2. (intransitive) to knock, to thump, to clatter

    túpam po stenáta
    to knock on the wall
  3. (intransitive) to make dull noise upon falling
  4. (intransitive) to beat, to pulsate (of heart, pulse)
