Etymology[edit]
From قایماق (kaymak, “kaymak, clotted cream; skimming”) + ـلانمق (-lanmak, suffix forming passive infinitives from stems ending in back vowels).

قایماقلانمق • (kaymaklanmak)
- (intransitive) to become like kaymak or clotted cream in consistency
- (intransitive, of milk) to become covered by scum on the surface
- (intransitive, of food) to acquire a taste or flavor similar to kaymak
