From Proto-Iranian *HรกrahwatiH, from Proto-Indo-Iranian *SรกraswatiH. Cognate with Avestan ๐ฌต๐ฌ€๐ฌญ๐ฌ€๐ฌ“๐ฌ€๐ฌŒ๐ฌ™๐ฌ (haraxแต›aitฤซ).[1]
