Etymology[edit]
From Latin Albānia, from Ancient Greek Ἀλβανία (Albanía). Called Caucasian in order to distinguish it from the unrelated modern country in the Balkans.
Proper noun[edit]
- An ancient region and former kingdom in Western Asia, south of the Caucasus mountains, east of Armenia and west of the Caspian Sea.
