Etymology

[edit]

Compound of the personal name Docfa and park (park). Docfa was the compiler of a document detailing the gifting of several properties to Saint Willibrord. A misreading of a toponym added credence to a local tradition stating that Saint Willibrord had performed baptisms in Oss, and a recently-constructed neighbourhood was thus named after Docfa.

  • Hyphenation: Doc‧fa‧park
