Ręsa in cloths and rugs

[edit]

In Bulgarian, реса denotes the ornaments and the strands at the edge of clothes or rugs - e.g. see these Bulgarian rugs. Clearly, this was the original meaning of the word and eventually it evolved to denote eyelashes, turf, fibers and other notions which resemble the clothing ornaments. The problem is I don't know how to translate this in English, so I just gave the meaning edge as original. If anyone knows the proper English word, feel free to add it up.
