Japanese. Rfv-sense:

  • a male or female given name
  • 九里, 駒梨, 公里: a female given name
  • 久利, 久里, 九里, 栗, 厨, 椋作: a surname
  • 久里, 九里, 庫理: a place name

The only public personality I could find with the name written in hiragana is くり (タレント), the stage name of Kuriyama Naoto. The various kanji look plausible, but I couldn't find any places nor well-known people with these names and spellings. (In contrast, I did find people with names written 栗, 久利, 久里, and pronounced Kuri.) It could be that I didn't look hard enough.

I'm trying to verify them with an eye to eventually using ja-see instead of ja-def. There are also several common nouns with this reading. Cnilep (talk) 07:16, 7 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

D'oh, indeed I did not look hard enough for places. There are some on ja-Wikipedia. Cnilep (talk) 07:40, 7 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
RFV passed for most of the kanji senses, but failed for 椋作 (surname), 駒梨 (female given name, seemingly read as Komari), and the hiragana given name. I have added examples to the various kanji entries. Is there any objection to replacing the current content with ja-see, linking to the verified names and the common nouns?
