I imagine that the alternative name Dapsang for K2 may have some connection to Depsang Plains since K2 can be seen from the Depsang Plains according to Owen Lattimore (see 1930 cite Citations:K2)- I wildly speculate that "Depsang Plains" may literally mean something like "K2 Plains". cf. Talk:Depsang Plains. There is a Dipsang variant for Depsang Plains; that vowel seems "mobile". Geographyinitiative (talk) 23:16, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
