This seems to have multiple meanings and I'm quite confused by them. Even dictionaries are inconsistent in defining the term. I used MW and Dictionary.com when creating this entry because that sense seems to be attested in books. Sidhu (2005) differentiates it from educational age, giving a similar definition to ours, but says achievement age concerns achievement in only one particular subject. However, Jacks (2006) gives a different explanation from the one in the entry and treats it as a synonym of educational age.
