Middle English[edit]

Are you sure that the definition "bear" in Middle English refers to the verb and not to the animal. I ask the question because it is said that the word comes from the Old English word bera which refers to the animal and not to the verb. So could you check that? Thank you in advance. There is no mention at all of four-row barley in Wikipedia. There is two-row and six-row only...
