I added three cites to the citations page. The requested Harvey quote actually spelled it "effrajable" (it is given in Stevenson's 1959 The Meaning of Poison.) I could find a mention that said this word fell from usage in the sixteenth century, which would make it mostly Middle English, with only a slight persistence into what is considered modern English.
