Does anyone have any information on the root of the difference in "enrollment/enrolment" spellings? (ie Canadian-English/American-English)?
- As far as I know (from the OED) enrolment is the only correct spelling in the UK, at least since spelling rules settled down in the late 1600s. I'm not sure about US usage, but one editor thinks that this is the preferred American spelling, too. Dbfirs 22:11, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

- This seems more straightforward: 4% of American usage (per coca, corpus of contemporary American usage) is one-"l"; 3% of UK usage (per bnc, British national corpus) is two-"l". DCDuring Holiday Greetings! 00:48, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
